THE PROBLEM
Benoni shows up once again!
We are thrilled to share the success of another impactful community clean-up—this time on the Voortrekker Road Bridge in the heart of Benoni CBD. This busy and often congested area got a much-needed refresh thanks to the incredible efforts of our local partners, volunteers, and community heroes.
Teamwork Makes the Dream Work
With the help of AfriForum Benoni, who managed traffic on this very active route, our team was able to clean up the bridge safely and efficiently. A huge thank you for stepping in to ensure everyone’s safety while we worked!
Special recognition also goes to the Benoni Taxi Association, who rolled up their sleeves and joined us on the ground to pick up litter. Your presence and support meant the world and truly set the tone for a united community effort.
WHAT WE DID
Community Spirit in Action
We were especially grateful to have the youth from Northfield Methodist Church join us. It’s always inspiring to see young people getting involved, leading by example, and contributing to the well-being of their community.
A big thank you also to the representatives from ARA who lent their hands and hearts to the project—we appreciate your ongoing support and commitment to cleaner, safer public spaces.
Supporting the Helpers
No clean-up would be complete without hydration—and thanks to Absolutely Water Benoni, our volunteers stayed cool and refreshed throughout the day. Your generosity kept our energy levels high and spirits even higher!
And a massive shout-out to Keysie’s Skips for providing another 6-cube skip—which, of course, was filled to the brim by the end of the day! Your consistent support makes these clean-ups possible.
WHO MADE IT HAPPEN
Together, We Make a Difference
None of this would have been possible without the amazing community of Benoni. Each partner, volunteer, and helping hand contributed to turning an overlooked space into one we can all be proud of.
This clean-up wasn’t just about picking up litter—it was about building relationships, restoring pride, and showing what we can achieve when we work together.
Stay tuned for more community projects coming soon—and if you'd like to get involved, we'd love to have you!
