Mandela Day at Snake Road

THE PROBLEM

This kerbing was the first kerbing painted in early 2023 and was looking faded and dirty.

WHAT WE DID

We repainted ALL the kerbing at this intersection, all the way up to the 11th Avenue robots and then down 2nd Street. This was an incredible feat with meticulous planning and team work!

WHO MADE IT HAPPEN

We would like to extend a massive thank you, and appreciation to all the businesses and private individuals who supported our Mandela Day community event.

We had volunteers from My China, Aida Inspired, Terazzo Properties, IEPA, Stockton Properties and Monarch Properties, 4th Benoni Cub Pack, 9th Benoni Scouts, Engen 5th Avenue, Smart Technology Centre, Orexi, Lakeside Mall as well as numerous individuals.

We are grateful for the delicious lunch and cold drinks supplied by Romans Pizza, Orexi, Jurita and an individual who bought KFC.

Thank you too to those who contributed financially towards purchasing paint for the day and to Engen 5th Avenue for 50 x R50 vouchers for our volunteers.

Without the commitment demonstrated by these volunteers, Clean Projects would not be able to hold these events, that we refer to as "Community Therapy" or to continue to visually uplift the roads and public spaces in Benoni.
